Information event about the online university elections on 16 May

From 4 to 17 July 2024 (beginning and ending at 12:00, respectively), the University of Passau will be holding elections for student representatives in the Senate, the Faculty Councils, and the Student Parliament. For the first time ever, voting will be done online.

| Reading time: 1 min.

As an online election requires less human resources and space than the organisation and implementation of an in-person ballot, voting will not only be on one day but over a period of 14 days. Going forward, elections at our university will thus be digital, sustainable and more voter-friendly.

As part of our commitment to inclusiveness, and in an effort to ensure that university elections are accessible even when held digitally, voters will be given the option of casting their ballot in private during regular office hours on the University of Passau premises. Election assistants will be available on site to help voters with disabilities cast their vote and ensure broadest possible participation in the university elections.

We will be presenting all the new developments in connection with the introduction of online elections at an information event about the electronic university elections (Stud.IP: 45897) on 16 May 2024, from 9:00 to 10:00 and look forward to seeing many of you there.
