Information on the "participation strike" on 5 December
The University of Passau is anticipating another token and participation strike on 5 December, since the second round of negotiations for employees of the public sector of the federal states between the Tarifgemeinschaft der Länder (the collective bargaining association of the federal states) and the trade union ver.di in Potsdam failed to produce a result. This time the rally will take place in Munich.
Your lecturers will inform you if there are any changes to the teaching schedule.
It is to be expected that the University's services and facilities and the refectory will not be operating as usual on 5 December. Please be sure to take that into account when planning your day. Please also note that the cafeterias on campus will be closed on that day.
All University Library sub-libraries will be open until at least 16:00 on 5 December.
