New Department: Centre for Careers and Competencies

The new department will take the role of a service centre specialising in the organisation of skill enhancement and development courses. Students as well as doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, and candidates for habilitation will find an extensive range of courses that will help to further develop their individual skills. In the long run, the Centre for Careers and Competencies will also provide further training for all university personnel. With this development, the university ensures an efficient and synergetic training management.

For students, the Centre for Careers and Competencies will combine both the Careers Service’s and the Centre for Key Competencies’ services. The goal is to provide students with one central contact point that offers comprehensive services for the development of their individual competencies and career opportunities, with one central programme and one single registration deadline.

You are welcome to visit the Centre for Careers and Competencies’ homepage that launches on 1 October 2017 for additional information about the new department and its programme.

With best regards

Professor Carola Jungwirth

President of the University of Passau
