Pandemic: latest University Executive decisions

| Reading time: 1 min.

Due to the worrying turn of the pandemic and in line with the latest political guidelines, the University Executive has taken measures to protect the health of all university members for the rest of the winter semester. Here is a brief rundown of the main measures:

  • The 3G rule is obligatory for all members of the University. Supervisors and lecturers are required and authorised to demand and monitor compliance in their areas of responsibility and in their courses.
  • Unvaccinated and recovering university members are required to undergo regular testing. In addition, we ask all those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered from a previous covid-19 infection go and get regular tests voluntarily, as you too can be carriers of the virus.
  • With immediate effect, FFP2 masks must be worn in all buildings and enclosed spaces. We strongly recommend wearing the masks even if a distance of 1.5 m can be maintained.
  • Wherever possible, all lecturers are requested to completely replace face-to-face teaching with online teaching for the period 13 December 2021 to 17 January 2022. During this online phase, we ask that other events, celebrations and meetings also be held in virtual form. All staff are requested to work from home whenever possible during this phase.
